What is the McGladrey Team Championship? The event is an exciting nationwide tournament that brings together PGA Professionals and amateurs in a best ball championship.

The format for the local qualifier, to be held Saturday May 31st, will consist of 3 person teams counting one best ball net per hole. Each team member will receive 50% of his or her course handicap. Each play must use his/her score on 3 holes.

We would need seven - 3 person teams to host the event, in which one team would qualify for the Sectional Championship to be held in Denver August 18th at Riverdale Golf Club. If we generate 18 or more teams, 2 local teams would head to Denver joined by myself and Chuck Cobb, creating four person teams, playing a two best ball net per hole format.

There are 41 Sectional Championships in which one winner willed be crowned for each, creating a National Championship to be held at Pinehurst Resort (NC) on October 20-22. This sounds like a great event and with your participation could be on our calendar annually.
